Hair extensions:
1.How long do Hair Extensions last for?
Hair Extensions can last for months but due to natural hair loss they should be removed by a qualified Hair Extensionist after three months. Hair extensions are easy and painless to remove; the special bond remover fluid breaks the bonds down so they slide out effortlessly.
2.Will Hair Extensions damage my natural hair?
No. Hair Extensions won't damage your hair if taken out correctly and cared for. There are a wide range of methods of applying hair extensions but the most popular are the pre-bonded keratin tips which I use. The bond is made from Keratin, the strongest but also the safest form of extension attachment on the market. The bond is easy to remove without causing any damage to the natural hair. I can tell you more about these and show you the hair during your consultation.
3.Can I wear hair extensions?
Tobe able to wear hair extensions your natural hair must be longer than 3" in length and in good condition. There are certain medical conditions that may prevent you from having extensions. This is covered in your consultation.
4.How much do they cost?
A consultation will answer all your questions but the table above shows the prices I charge. During a consultation I will be able to colour match your hair. If you decide to go ahead I will require a £100 non refundable deposit. I will then order the hair and book your appointment. The hair will be delivered the next working day.
5.How much do they cost to remove?
£30.00 or £15.00 if havingthem re-applied.
6.How long does it take to apply the extensions?
Normallyit will take 2-4 hours to create your new style.
7.Once they are in do you cut it to style?
Yes. Once the extensions are in place they will be cut and styled to ensure all the extensions are blended and you have the desired style.
8.Do I have to do maintain the extensions?
Yes. You will have to look after them. I will tell you all about this during the consultation. You will be left with an aftercare leaflet and instructions once the extensions are fitted.
9. Where does the hair come from?
The Pre Bonded Extensions are made from the finest quality Indian Remy Hair. The term ‘Remy’ means that each strand of hair is laid in the same direction as the natural hair growth. If hair is non Remy then the individual hairs would be lying in opposite directions, resulting in matting, this is the same effect as backcombing. The cuticle layer is still intact; this helps to seal in moisture, protecting the hair from the elements and environmental damage. The absence of the cuticle layer dries hair out rapidly and makes it prone to breakage. As a result, hair will look dry, brittle and dull.
